Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Carnot Coaching Center (“Carnot,” “we,” “us”) operates an online review platform for Mechanical Engineering board exam candidates, offering course content, live classes, practice exams, and related study tools (“the Platform”).

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including your name, school, graduation status, and email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Carnot may limit the number of devices simultaneously logged into an account.

3. Program access and payment

Access to a Program's courses is granted upon full payment or completion of an approved installment plan, processed through our payment partner. Installment plans, where offered, follow a fixed schedule disclosed at checkout and may not be available close to a program's board exam date. A service fee may apply to payments to cover processing costs. Vouchers and promotional pricing, where granted, are applied at Carnot's discretion and are not stackable with each other.

Access granted under a Program applies only to courses assigned to that Program and is non-transferable between accounts.

4. Refunds — No Refund Policy

All payments made to Carnot — including full payments and each individual installment — are final and non-refundable, regardless of reason, including but not limited to:

• Change of mind or decision not to continue the review program
• Failure to complete the program or attend live classes
• Failure to pass or sit the PRC board exam
• Dissatisfaction with course content, instructors, or platform features
• Withdrawal for personal, medical, or academic reasons

By completing a payment, you acknowledge and accept that no refund, in whole or in part, will be issued under any circumstance. This policy is disclosed to you before payment is made, at checkout.

5. Content ownership and prohibited use

All course materials, video lectures, live class recordings, exam questions, answer keys, study guides, and any other content made available through the Platform (“Content”) are the exclusive intellectual property of Carnot Coaching Center and its licensors, protected under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 8293) and applicable copyright law.

You may access Content for your personal, individual review use only. You are strictly prohibited from:

• Downloading, recording, screen-capturing, or otherwise reproducing any Content, in whole or in part, except where the Platform explicitly provides a download feature for that specific item
• Sharing, distributing, uploading, reselling, or otherwise making Content available to any third party or the public, through any means (including but not limited to file-sharing sites, cloud drives, social media, messaging apps, or physical copies)
• Sharing your account credentials with any other person to grant them access to Content
• Circumventing, disabling, or attempting to circumvent any access control, content lock, or copy-protection measure on the Platform

Violation of this section constitutes copyright infringement and is punishable by law under Republic Act No. 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines) and Republic Act No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), which may result in civil liability and criminal prosecution, in addition to immediate suspension or termination of your Carnot account without refund (see Section 4).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to circumvent access controls or exam integrity measures, or to use the Platform for any purpose other than your own board exam review. Carnot may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, without refund.

7. Exams, scoring, and leaderboards

Practice exam results, scores, and analytics are provided for study purposes and do not guarantee performance on the actual PRC board exam. Leaderboard rankings display a pseudonymous username by default; students may change this username subject to availability and content guidelines. Carnot may zero-fill unattempted exams for leaderboard ranking purposes.

8. AI-generated features

The Platform may offer AI-generated performance insights and study recommendations. These are generated from your own exam activity and are provided for informational purposes only — they do not constitute academic, professional, or exam-readiness guarantees. Usage of these features may be subject to a monthly limit.

9. Changes to these Terms

Carnot may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
